When I insert my product key into my trail version of Microsoft Office Home and Student and choose to install now, the progress bar gets about half way along then says' Microsoft Office Home and Student configuration did not complete successfully' and will not let me use any of the programs and keeps asking for a product key to activate the full version. I follwed the instructions on microsoft support to uninstall the trail version then put the disc in to install the full version but when I try it gets about half way along when trying to uninstall then fails again and wont remove it!
Remove the corrupt Office installation traces using the required Fix-it available here. If you are unable to run the fix-it to uninstall Office, follow the steps given here to manually remove Office from the computer. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback.
